LOCAL EXPRESSIONS AND IDIOMS

Objectives: Improving knowledge of the target language.
Establishing good communication among the participants.
Target group: Groups of up to 10 people from different cultures who are willing to share their ideas and experience. A good knowledge of the target language is important.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Methodology step-by- step: 1. On a blackboard or large sheet of paper write down expressions and idioms that may be difficult to understand.
2. Explain the meaning of these expressions and idioms.
3. Ask the participants to say whether these expressions and idioms exist in their mother tongue and to explain how they would express their concept.

NOTE: The most important aim of this exercise it to allow the participants to communicate with each other.
